Description
Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 1st shift, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 4 days a week (4x10s)
- Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
- On-Call: Yes
Experience & Skills Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy (No OR experience required)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Technical Skills:
- Strong Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy background
- Experience with GE Siemens equipment, PACS, and portable X-ray machines preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
Licensure & Compliance
- Must have valid state license verification within 30 days of start
- Background checks required including 7-year criminal background check, FBI/BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
- Monthly monitoring through EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG databases
- Education accreditation verification required
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Physical exam documentation within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- Tdap vaccine (adult dose)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella vaccines or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but recommended
Additional Requirements
- Must complete skills checklist and competency exams as required
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for RN/LVN candidates (if applicable)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for applicable RNs (not specific to this role)
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
- References: 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership
Facility Specific Policies
- Dress code and hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed
- Confidential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse reporting training and acknowledgment required
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
