Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Details

• Shift: 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
• On-Call: Yes

Experience & Skills

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year in Radiology/Cardiology
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Technical Skills:

  • EPIC experience required (for charting)
  • Preferred experience with GE Siemens equipment, PACS, and portable X-ray machines

Licensure & Compliance

• Must comply with Ohio state licensing requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting (BCI & FBI) with specific codes and timelines.
• Background checks include a 7-year criminal history and monthly monitoring through federal databases.
• Education and licensure verifications are required within 30 days of start.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and free of contagious disease.
• Immunizations and documentation required:

  • Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
  • Varicella vaccines or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed).

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific orientation and competency exams, including:

  • Unit-specific competency exam
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam (for Aya candidates)
• Annual acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies.
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
• References: 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leader.
