Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Wilson, North Carolina

Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: 12 hours (every other or every third weekend)

• Unit Beds: 16
• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 2:1
  • IMU: 3:1
  • Telemetry: 1:5

Required Qualifications

• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH Certification
• Education: Associate degree required; BSN preferred
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in ICU specialty (highest requirement)
• Skills:

  • EKG interpretation
  • Critical thinking
  • Knowledge of critical drips (vasopressors, sedation) and titration

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

• COPD
• Acute Respiratory Failure (ARF)
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Sepsis
• Shock

Additional Information

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Telemetry overflow unit included
• Dress code: No assigned scrub color; artificial nails not allowed
