Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department
Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Emergency Nursing
- Department: Emergency Department
- Shift: Days (7 AM – 7 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend and some holidays
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: As needed
Facility & Unit Information
- Trauma Level: 3
- Number of Beds: 21 (12 telemetry beds, 3 behavioral health beds, 5 fast track rooms)
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Patient Population: All ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric)
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
- Environment: Fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
- Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) minimum
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- De-escalation training (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Nursing (includes trauma, resuscitation, IV/IV drips, oxygen support, blood products, basic telemetry/EKG)
- Preferred Skills: Emergency Medicine experience

- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
