Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Call rotation every fourth week (call starts Monday afternoon and ends the following Monday morning at 6:00 AM)

Licenses & Certifications

• Kentucky State License required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications may be required depending on unit (verify with unit-specific requirements)

Equipment Experience

• Experience with GE, Phillips, Siemens equipment preferred

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification matching specialty required (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
• Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry check required
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required by facility but required by agency standards)
• Fit mask test required annually (waivers available for medical/religious reasons)
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titer proof
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required (1 for non-clinical candidates)
• Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually (not required for non-clinical)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Photo for badge (headshot with solid light background)

Prior Travel Experience
