Job Opportunity: CVICU Registered Nurse
Location: Stuart, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty & Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (CVICU)
- Required Experience: Competent in pre/post-op open heart care, including management of Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience to competently manage advanced cardiac care and devices.

Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all candidates.

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 6 months of start.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
- Required vaccinations or proof of immunity:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required.
Documentation & Onboarding
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
- Completion of online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
- Pass/Fail testing on EKG and Pharmacology during orientation (2 attempts allowed per test).
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start.
- NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start.
- 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must carry photo ID during work hours.
- Fingerprinting clearance must be completed and approved before starting; Livescan electronic fingerprinting is required if no prior clearance exists.
- Onboarding modules and compliance documents are high priority and must be completed before the start date.
- Pass/Fail testing is mandatory for RNs and LPNs; failure to pass results in contract cancellation.
This position is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses skilled in advanced cardiac care and device management, ready for a 13-week travel assignment in Florida.
