Description
Job Opportunity: EP Technologist (Electrophysiology Lab)
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Specialty: SFMC - Electrophysiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Special Procedures Tech I assists physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique for diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing the examination area, positioning patients, operating complex radiology equipment, and assisting physicians by passing materials and taking exposures as directed. The role requires providing patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Completion of 2 years training at an approved school of radiologic technology
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous patient care experience
Additional Information
- Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours
- Drug-free workplace with mandatory negative drug screen
- Local clinicians within 50 miles may have adjusted rates
- Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks without penalty
