Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, within scope and to sister facilities
- Daily Caseload: Varies by shift and location
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year preferred in specialty
- 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
- SCRQSA (R) (CT) certification
- Must have South Carolina state license in hand at time of start (no pending licenses accepted)
- Radiation Badge: Required and must be supplied by the agency (facility does NOT provide)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Includes SSN trace, statewide and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if verification pending
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Employment History: Verification of last 3 clinical employers required
- Competency Exams: Required as applicable
- Color Blind Testing: Required prior to start
- Photo for Badge: Clear, passport-style photo with solid light background, frontal view, business casual attire
- Orientation Modules: Must be completed prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
- Physical Exam: Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit Mask Test: N95 fit test within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
- Immunizations & Health:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or proof of prior positive with follow-up chest x-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series required; boosters may be needed for low titers
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
- Flu vaccine required during flu season or medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- COVID vaccines highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
- Radiation Badge Process: Must be initiated by agency; badge delivery may take 5-7 days before starting floor work
- Radius Rule: 60 miles
- Locals: Accepted on case-by-case basis
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers accepted if they have prior experience
- Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Floating within scope and to sister facilities is required
- All required documents and certifications must be current and valid at time of start (no certifications expiring within 30 days accepted)
