Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of qualified physicians and technical specialists.
  • Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
  • Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  • Able to insert and remove IVs.
  • Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required.
  • Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
  • ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred; if not licensed in CT at time of hire, must obtain CT license within one year.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred.

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required.

Required Certifications and Health Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA preferred).
  • ARRT certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually.
  • Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30).
  • TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months.
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
  • Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry.
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid).
  • Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred.
  • Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years.

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide 2 recent professional references (minimum 1 supervisor or above).
  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
  • Completion of skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required.
  • Various attestations and verifications related to licensure, education, and health status required prior to onboarding.
