Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (ICU)

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
• Also expected to work in PCU/Stepdown units
• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM - 7 AM)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license for North Carolina
• Higher years of specialty experience not explicitly stated; assume minimum RN experience required
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification or diploma/transcript for highest degree obtained
• State RN license primary source verification (NURSYS verification required)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within a year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (10/1–3/31) with mask-wearing if exempt
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable, updated annually
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/medication knowledge

Additional Notes

• Locals within 50 miles may be accepted at a different pay rate (not included here)
• Orientation packets and facility-specific documents must be completed and brought to orientation
• Onsite additional drug screening may be required
