Job Description

• Perform routine and specialized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
• Float across multiple campuses with shuttle transportation available.
• Work schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours (0800-2030), start times vary between 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
• Typically includes one Saturday and one Sunday per month.
• On-call is optional.
• Floating to different sites as needed.
• High volume of PTO coverage during spring/summer months.
• Work mostly weekends with varying start times.
• Facilities include 3 acute sites with GE 3T MRI machines and 1 ambulatory site with 1.5T machine.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of MRI experience (highest required years of experience).
• Licensure/Certification:

  • ARMRIT or ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification required.
  • ARRT MR certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Venipuncture skills required.

Prior Travel Experience

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List, and other federal/state screenings required and must be updated annually as applicable.
• Education verification required (highest level achieved).
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask test required within 1 year of start and must be renewed annually.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination as per policy
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov-April) or approved declination
• Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually.

Additional Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and other certifications may be required depending on position specifics (verify with employer).
• IV Certification (Venipuncture) may be required.

Work History and Documentation

• Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps.
• Employment verification required for up to 7 years.
• References: 2 professional references required for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates.

Other Requirements

• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
• TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start and annually thereafter.
