Job Description

• Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair, and floor.
• Demonstrate safe and appropriate body mechanics to reduce injury risk.
• Treat patients and colleagues with dignity, respect, empathy, and care.
• Design and adjust plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluate clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes.
• Perform examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to patient complaints and history.
• Produce documentation in accordance with clinical policies and regulatory standards.
• Screen patients to determine the need and effectiveness of therapy services.
• Use and supervise support personnel according to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Complete required annual education related to DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program (if applicable).
• Implement functional and emotional needs-based intervention plans.
• Modify approaches based on patient behavior and performance.
• Utilize standardized outcome measures uniformly.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and significant others throughout rehabilitation.
• Provide supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation technicians.
• Communicate patient status, recommendations, and discharge plans clearly with the medical team.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) License
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
• Experience: New graduates considered (no minimum years of experience required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
