Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU/Critical Care specialty for a 13-week travel contract in a Level 3 trauma facility. The ICU currently has 5 beds with plans to expand to 10 beds. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics (no pediatrics).

Unit Details

• Department: ICU
• Shift: See shift details
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 23
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Ratios: 2-3 patients per nurse
• Equipment: Ventilators, BiPAPs, drips, glucometers, etc.
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, psychiatric (suicidal ideation)
• Work Environment: Collaborative, family-like atmosphere

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/Critical Care experience
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
• No float or call requirements
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable
