Facility & Unit Overview

• 167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status
• Unit: Med/Surg A5 (24 beds)
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Patient Population: All ages
• Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
• Shift: See shift details (36 guaranteed weekly hours)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Float Requirements: Possible float to similar med/surg units

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Med Surg Telemetry experience (MS/Tele)
• Skills: IV insertion required
• Background Checks: Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is not acceptable
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Summary

This travel RN position in Med Surg Telemetry requires at least 1 year of specialty experience, current Tennessee RN licensure, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH. The role involves working in a Level III Trauma Center with a 1:6 patient ratio, providing care to patients of all ages.
