Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab (Traveler)
Location: Passaic, New Jersey
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 7 weeks
Job Description
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Address psychosocial, physical, and general care aspects related to the surgical environment.
- Communicate continuously with physicians regarding patient condition.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
- Assess procedure room and equipment readiness.
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
- Continuously monitor and record patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab within the last year.
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Critical Care area.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Completion of Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP).
