Location: Bryson City, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• Critical access hospital with 48 beds
• Med-Surg Unit: 17 beds, max patient ratio 1:6
• Patient population primarily adults 18+, majority 65+
• Unit provides inpatient, observation, and swing bed services
• No surgeries performed onsite
• Strong interdisciplinary support including PT/OT/Speech, Respiratory Therapy, and 24-hour provider coverage
• 24-hour CT, X-Ray, and lab services available
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Progressive Care / Med Surg
• Number of Openings: 1
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends; weekend shifts can be accommodated if needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: May float between Swain and Harris Regional on Med-Surg or equivalent nursing units

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license required in North Carolina
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg or Progressive Care nursing experience
• Skills: PICC/CVC management, wound care
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
