Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Oakland, California
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography Tech)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekend shifts: Tuesday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with Monday off
- Every other weekend and 1 Saturday per month required
- Floating required within the breast center and mobile mammography van service across the Bay Area
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Licenses/Certifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- California State Mammography Licensure (Certified Radiologic Technologist certification by the California Department of Health Services)
Prior Travel Experience
- Not explicitly required
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List searches as applicable
- Education verification and transcript/diploma validation
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
- Respiratory safety clearance, renewed annually
Facility Specific Requirements
- Candidate must review and sign various facility documents prior to start, including:
- Job description
- Standards of business conduct
- Confidentiality agreements
- Orientation booklet and post-test
- TB questionnaire signed by healthcare provider within 90 days of start
- Vendor training and code of conduct for 2024 and 2025 (if contract extends)
- Conditional offer of employment attestation
- Religious accommodation forms if applicable

- Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
- Employment verification for up to 7 years required, with explanations for any gaps over 30 days
- References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client)
