Job Opportunity: RN - Behavioral Health

Location: White Hall, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel

Position Details

Specialty: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend, 24 hours
Call Requirements: No call
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Behavioral Health Unit (BHU IP Unit 1)
Beds: 12 geriatric beds, 24 adult beds
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
EHR System: Cerner
Float Requirements: Will float between adult and geriatric behavioral health units

Required Qualifications

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license
Education: Associate degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
Certifications: AHA BLS, Handle With Care
Experience: Minimum 3 years in acute behavioral health nursing (higher of 2 and 3 years)
Skills:
- Expertise in crisis stabilization, including verbal de-escalation and emergency physical intervention
- Experience with Cerner EHR system

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with milieu management using the therapeutic milieu model
