Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Laguna Hills, California

Job Description

• Position: Radiology Technologist (Cath Lab Tech)
• Shift: 4x10 hour days (07:00 - 17:30)
• On Call: 1 day per week and every 4th weekend in rotation
• Patient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics
• Specialty: Interventional Radiology & Invasive Cardiology Procedures

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years total experience in specialty
• At least 2 years of cath lab experience required
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
• Fluoroscopy Permit

Required Licenses

• Valid Radiology Technologist license appropriate for California

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • TDAP vaccine within last 10 years (declination allowed)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual update required)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal titer)
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody titer (declination allowed if low/equivocal)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (declination allowed if low/equivocal)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine (required Nov-April, declination allowed)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (excluding marijuana panel per California law)
• 2 professional references required
• Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
• Annual internal evaluation if employed for 1 year or more

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of MemorialCare HIPAA, EPIC, and YouLearn modules prior to or shortly after start date
• Clear headshot photo for badge
• Review of MemorialCare policies including drug and alcohol, hand hygiene, dress and appearance

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be able to complete on-call and weekend rotation requirements
• Facility accepts local candidates within 50 miles at a local rate adjustment
• Fit testing may be required onsite or scheduled with Employee Health depending on facility location
