Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract
Location: Weston, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Weekend shifts: As needed
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
- Block schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals accepted at same rate
- On-call: No
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
- First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) - must have at time of submission
- ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross) - must have at time of submission
- PALS (AHA only or American Red Cross) - must have at time of submission
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - must obtain prior to start
Required Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Florida
- Pending licenses are NOT accepted
Special Requirements
- Epic electronic health record experience at a level 3 or 4 is required
- Facility is smoke-free; all travelers must be nicotine-free (verified by negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine)
- Must include all requested time off (RTO) upfront with submission; additions later likely will not be approved
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 6 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no FL Medical Marijuana card accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation)
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
Background Checks and Documentation
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
Orientation and Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start is mandatory
- Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome; cannot be completed on a phone
- Modules include COVID documentation submission and other compliance training
- Pass/Fail testing (EKG/Medication) administered during orientation for RNs
References and History
- Two professional references required within 2 years of start date
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Performance evaluation on file if worked with the system over 1 year

- Must comply with all facility policies and documentation requirements
- Time-sensitive modules and documentation must be prioritized to avoid delays in start date
