Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Laguna Hills, California

Job Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour days (07:00 - 17:30)
• On Call: 1 day per week and every 4th weekend on rotation
• Patient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years total experience in specialty
• At least 2 years cath lab experience specifically in Interventional Radiology and invasive Cardiology procedures
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI accepted)
• BLS (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI accepted)
• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
• Fluoroscopy Permit

Required Skills

• Preparation and/or administration of contrast media

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Licenses

• Valid Radiologic Technologist license appropriate for California

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• TDAP vaccine within last 10 years (declination allowed)
• Negative TB test (QGOLD, TSPOT, or 2-step PPD) within 1 year, updated annually
• TB questionnaire annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (declination allowed for low/equivocal titer)
  • Varicella (declination allowed for low/equivocal titer)
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (excluding marijuana panel)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required November 1 - April 30 (declination allowed)
• COVID vaccination record preferred

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Completion of facility-specific education modules including:

  • EPIC Education Certificate
  • YouLearn Modules
  • HIPAA Education Certificate
• Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
• Annual internal evaluation if employed for 1 year or more
• 2 professional references required
• Employment application required

Summary

This is a travel/contract position for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 3 years in the specialty and 2 years cath lab experience. The role requires working 4 ten-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities. Candidates must hold required certifications and licenses, meet health and immunization requirements, and complete facility-specific training modules. Prior travel experience is not required.
