Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Float to High Risk Obstetrics (HROB) unit as needed (16 rooms, caring for early inductions, antepartum, continuous monitoring patients)
- May float within 5 hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
- Level III high risk facility
- Block scheduling NOT allowed
- Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at time of submission; no late submissions accepted
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Scrubs provided by hospital
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery)
- Experience: Minimum 2.5 years in specialty
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Active New Jersey RN license at time of submission
- ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
- BLS (AHA or ARC only)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Must pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing contract (only 2 attempts allowed; must be taken on PC, not iOS devices)
- EOW (Every Other Week) / EOH (Every Other Holiday) scheduling
Prior Travel Experience
- Not required; first-time travelers accepted
Additional Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
- Government-issued photo ID
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- E-Verify proof or attestation
- Various health documents including:
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption (deadline October 31)
- Drug screening (10 panel, excluding THC or with THC plus 10 other panels) within 6 months of start, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation
- Latex questionnaire
- Professional references (2, within last 2 years)
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
- Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (NJ state requirement)
Notes
- Must complete Dysrhythmia competency test on a PC within 72 hours of contract signing; failure results in contract cancellation
- Floating may require working across multiple hospital locations within the system
- Local rate adjustment for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital (not included here)
This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs looking for a travel contract in a high-risk obstetrics setting with opportunities to float across multiple hospitals.
