Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Folsom, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

A hospital in Sacramento is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel contract. The candidate will work in the Radiology unit, performing approximately 80 procedures per day between X-Ray and CT. The role involves operating Siemens 64 slice and 128 slice CT scanners, Radiology Fluoro, portable X-Ray machines, and C-Arms.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of Radiology experience (including CT/X-Ray)
• Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license with Fluoroscopy permit
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to float between CT, X-Ray, Fluoro, C-Arms, and portable chest X-Rays
• Must provide own radiation badge
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others

Work Environment & Additional Information

• Unit: Radiology
• Equipment: Siemens Sensation 64 CT, Siemens Edge 128 CT, Carestream and GE portables, OEC C-arms, Philips Rad and R/F
• EMR system: Cerner
• Orientation: 3-day floor-specific orientation
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts starting at 7:30 PM, every other weekend (EOW)
• Holidays: Rotate with core staff
• Radiologist coverage: Onsite radiologist 7 days a week (8 AM - 5 PM), teleradiologist available off-hours
• Floating: Required to float between CT and X-Ray
• Patient transportation available as department resource
• Scrub color: Teal

Notes

• Candidates may not have been employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year, except PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable.
• Two supervisory references required at submittal (one within 12 months, one within 3 years).
