Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist

Location: Park Falls, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Setting: Acute Inpatient and Swing bed (rehab), with possible outpatient coverage if time allows
• Patient Load: 7-11 patients per day
• Common Diagnoses: Weakness related to illness, pneumonia, COVID, CHF, COPD
• Patient Focus: More ADLs in the mornings for evaluations; no critical care, more MS LTC
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (to assess morning ADLs)
• EMR System: Cerner
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs, clean & professional or dress casual
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation scheduled with current therapist for first week

Responsibilities

• Create individualized plans of care for patients
• Thorough documentation
• Work independently as the only therapist for inpatient/swing bed
• Good communication skills required
• May be asked to see outpatients if time allows

Required Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license valid in Wisconsin
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience outside of schooling/clinical experience in occupational therapy
• Comfortable working independently and jumping into the role immediately
• Open to first-time travel therapists (prior travel experience NOT required)

Additional Notes

• Must be comfortable covering acute inpatient and swing bed rehab areas
• No rehab aides or PTAs available for support
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• If previously worked at this facility, must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission date
