Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT - Adult)
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess, provide therapeutic interventions, and educate patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or related complications. Your role includes monitoring disease progression, managing therapy, and promoting preventative care and self-management to improve patient outcomes.
Facility & Unit Details
- Large facility with 350+ beds
- Units include:
- 40 bed IV NICU
- 8 bed Pediatric ICU
- 24 bed Pediatrics
- 36 bed Adult ICU
- 28 bed Intermediate Adult ICU
- 110 bed Adult General Floor
- 47 bed Emergency Room
- Assignments created using Epic system
- May float to other locations within the city as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Dakota
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Prior Travel Experience
- Not explicitly required
Shift & Schedule
- Rotating shifts with 8 and 12 hour options
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Opportunity to pick up extra shifts
Orientation & Training
- Lab orientation with RT education staff
- Preceptor shifts with unit RTs

- Acudose medication cabinet
- Hamilton G5 & C1 ventilators
- V60, Airvo, CoughAssist, Vest, IPV AutoPAP
- Radiometer ABL90, Aerogen, Trilogy/Astrel
