Description
Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Job Details
- Outpatient setting only
- Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long
- Shifts start between 8:00 - 8:30 AM
- Shared housing provided at no cost
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Specialty: Physical Therapist Outpatient
- Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 0+ years (no higher requirement indicated)
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Required Credentials and Compliance
- Completion of FEMA ICS 100 Training (mandatory, no exceptions)
- License/Certificate verification (primary source verification required within 30 days of start)
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof
- Influenza vaccine (required during flu season)
- TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (strongly preferred)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (preferred)
- Respirator Fit Test (N95) within 1 year of start date, updated annually
- Criminal background checks including:
- MGB Criminal Background Check
- Massachusetts CORI check
- National Sex Offender Registry check
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid exclusion lists)
- Verification of education and work history (past 7 years)
- Submission of professional references (2 references, including at least 1 supervisor)
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
Additional Information
- Must comply with all onboarding and credentialing requirements prior to start
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for flu vaccine or N95 fit testing
- Housing agreement required if staying in provided housing
