Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in a similar role (Rad Tech or CVT)
• Proficient with scrubbing cardiac angiograms/interventions, neuro angiograms/interventions, vascular/peripheral vascular angiograms/interventions, and pacemaker/device cases
• Experience with coronary stent interventions preferred
• EP (Electrophysiology) experience is a plus but not required

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required

Required Licenses and Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (R)
• If ARRT certified, must obtain NDMIRT prior to start

Job Duties and Procedures

• Scrub tech for:

  • Left/right heart catheterizations and PCI (including rotablader, shockwave)
  • Pericardiocentesis
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella insertion/removal
  • Peripheral vascular procedures
  • Electrophysiology device insertion/removal (Pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders)
  • PFO/ASD closure
  • Electrophysiology ablations (preferred)
• Use of EPIC, CUPID, GE MAC Lab/Cardio Lab reporting systems
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation protection standards

Schedule

• 4-10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Call rotation every 3rd to 4th weekend
• One night of call per week
• Call team consists of 4 people; candidate will not be on call alone

Orientation and Training

• Orientation tailored to candidate’s experience level
• 1-2 days with assigned mentor

Additional Information

• No floating to other units/departments
• Unit has 8 cath lab rooms and 1 procedure room
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue
