Description

Required Experience & Skills

Valid Surgical Technologist license in Illinois
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
Experience working with Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma patients
Experience in the following surgical procedures and areas:
- Direct Laryngoscopy
- Radial neck dissection
- Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy
- Tracheostomy
- Colonoscopy
- EGD
- PEG tube placement/exchange
- Appendectomy

THE best recruiter I have worked with in my 4 years as a traveler. Natalie has stellar communication, responding promptly to text messages (my preferred choice of communication), and listens without judgement. Whether it's rate negotiations, shift preferences, or a general concern about the facility Natalie has never left me feeling unsupported. Additionally, dealing with Host Healthcare has been a seamless experience from compliance and onboarding.

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
