Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery
Location: Rutherfordton, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Profile
- Department: Antepartum (Unit 16955)
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, Gynecology
- Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every 3rd weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Yes
- Number of Openings: 1
Patient Population
- Maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, pediatrics
Unit Details
- Beds: 3 LDR, 4 Triage, 2 Antepartum, 10 Postpartum/Gyn/Peds
- Patient Ratios: Based on acuity
- Equipment: Philips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): MediTech
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License valid in North Carolina
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN
- Experience in charge nurse roles
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

- Position requires ability to float within unit
