Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Medical – Surgical
Facility Type: 57-bed acute care hospital with all private rooms
Patient Population: All ages
Patient Ratios: Up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
EHR System: MediTech
Shift: See shift details (36 guaranteed hours per week)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Float Requirements: Possibility to float to like units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC (must be current prior to start)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience with common diagnoses such as COPD, post-op joint care, and diabetic populations
Kind, caring, and compassionate personality

Additional Information

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no branded attire from other facilities

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 1 year of Med-Surg experience seeking a travel assignment in Kentucky.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
