Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technician
Location: Evansville, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide quality images for radiologists and physicians.
- Position requires PET/CT experience.
- Shift times vary between 7:00-8:00 AM start and 3:30-4:30 PM end.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience in Nuclear Medicine
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Completion and regular updating (every 3 years) of color vision testing.
- Ascension Core Competencies testing (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) within one year of start, updated every 3 years.
- Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation.
- Immunizations and health documentation:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Tuberculosis screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire.
- Fit testing for respiratory protection, updated annually.
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, with annual updates.
- Background checks and verifications:
- Criminal background check including SSN trace, OIG search, National Sex Offender registry, updated annually.
- Employment and education verifications within 90 days of start, updated annually.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start, updated annually.
- Skills checklist for clinical specialty within one year of start, updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID valid and matching address requirements.
- Professional references: at least two prior to first assignment.
- Ascension Profile and Confirmation of Assignment documentation.
- Badge photo with specific background requirements.
