Job Opportunity: NICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Floating assignment across 5 hospitals within skillset (including Mount Holly and surrounding locations)
• No block scheduling allowed
• No on-call duties
• Every other weekend (EOW) work schedule
• Required to work 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Epic experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with neonate and infant patients
• Experience with high frequency ventilation
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID
• E-Verify documentation
• Background check (7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• State RN license verification (Primary Source Verification required)
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (required before first shift)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific requirements for positive responders)
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (deadline October 31)
• Eye exam with visual acuity 20/40 or better
• Latex questionnaire
• 2 professional references within last 2 years
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (NJ state requirement)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be willing to float within multiple hospital locations as needed
• Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at time of submission; late submissions not accepted
• Dysrhythmia testing and other competency exams may be required depending on unit assignment
• Candidates cannot start if certifications are expiring within 30 days of contract start date

This position is ideal for experienced NICU RNs comfortable with high-acuity neonatal care and flexible floating assignments across multiple hospital sites.
