Description
Job Opportunity: RRT Float (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
- Work Settings: Adult Acute Care, ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, L&D
- Floating Requirement: Must float to different hospital areas such as ED, ICU, CCU, General Medical Floors
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Charting System: EPIC
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- Local Candidates: Accepted at same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Experience working with Adult, Neonate, and Pediatric patients
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during work hours)
- Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and international background check if applicable
- Transcript or diploma as applicable
- State license primary source verification
- Color blindness test (Ishihara)
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start date
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Photo for badge (no visible nose piercing allowed)
- Completion of facility-specific online orientation and COVID policy review
- Stroke education and acknowledgment if working over 1 year at facility
- Proof of 2 clinical references or performance evaluation if applicable
- Complete employment application/resume
Additional Notes
- Floating to multiple hospital units is required
- Candidates must be prepared to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Facility uses EPIC for charting
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
This position is suitable for respiratory therapists with at least 2 years of experience, including adult and NICU/PICU settings, who are comfortable floating across various hospital units and working night shifts. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
