Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Unit
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process.
- Perform responsibilities specific to the neuro unit scope of service.
- Implement nursing procedures and theories related to neuro care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and addressing hazards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues.
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 3 years of neurology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Specialty
- Neuro nursing within an acute care setting.
