Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Unit

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing

Job Summary

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to a group of patients during a designated time frame. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources to deliver quality patient care within the institution's philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all unit-specific nursing duties within the scope of service.
Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate care plans based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify care plans and nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback.
Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum of 3 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing

Education

Required: ASN (Associate Degree in Nursing)
Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
