Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Required experience: 3 years minimum (2.5-3 years required, 4 years preferred; will consider 2.5 years but default to higher requirement)
• Prior travel experience: Not accepted for first-time travelers (prior travel experience required)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts with call rotation
• Call schedule: Once a week plus 2 possible weekend call shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
• Required clinical experience:

  • C-Section experience required
  • Trauma/gunshot wound experience required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2.5 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
• Trauma experience, including working with Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma patients
• One completed travel assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients and High Risk patients
• C-Section experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification (highest degree obtained)
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within a year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate
• Must bring completed facility-specific packets and post-tests to orientation
• Additional drug screening may be conducted onsite

This position is ideal for experienced Operating Room RNs with trauma and C-section experience who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable with call rotations.
