Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 1st shift/days (5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
- Schedule: Every 3rd weekend, on-call, holidays required
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- On-call: Yes, required as needed
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
- Pending License: Not accepted; active Illinois license required
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days off
- Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay
Required Qualifications
- Valid X-Ray Technician license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ARRT certification
- Experience working with adult patients
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Abdomen X-Ray experience including decubitus, supine, and upright views
- Chest X-Ray experience including AP, lateral decubitus, routine, and upper airway (soft tissue neck) views
Special Requirements
- Must be physically present in Illinois 3 business days prior to start for fingerprinting and compliance
- Fingerprints must be completed in Illinois (cannot be done out of state)
- Must meet fingerprinting and background check requirements as per Illinois Department of Public Health

Additional Requirements
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
- Immunizations and/or titers required: MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- TB test (2-step PPD, TSPOT, or Qgold) within 1 year of start
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required by 11/30 annually
- Competency exam required for clinical candidates
- Photo for badge required before start
- References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates
