Description

Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Contract)

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician orders and protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues.
Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on delivery day.
Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.

Contract Length

9 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in New York
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
