Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Contract)

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Contract


Job Description

  • Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
  • Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
  • Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician orders and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues.
  • Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
  • Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on delivery day.
  • Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.

Contract Length

  • 9 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New York
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
