Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Med/Surg, Ortho
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Float Requirements: Yes
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Number of Beds: 40
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arkansas
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience, with experience within the last year
Experience in Orthopedics
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Unit includes Cardiovascular ICU and expanded cardiac rehab/outpatient therapy departments
Patient population primarily adult medical-surgical and orthopedic cases
Call requirements not specified
Must be greater than 60 miles from facility to qualify as travel

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
