Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Job Description

Physical Therapists (PTs) diagnose and treat individuals of all ages who have medical problems or health-related conditions limiting their mobility and functional activities. PTs develop treatment plans to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. They also create fitness and wellness programs to prevent loss of mobility. PTs work in various settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, schools, sports facilities, and nursing homes.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs
• Providing patient education on injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative and rehabilitation therapy
• Supervising physical therapy assistants and aides during treatment

Facility Setting

• Outpatient clinic
• Occasional weekend coverage for acute care evaluations (approximately every 5 weeks)

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Candidates must be prepared to occasionally float to other units if needed
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is relevant but not specified as mandatory
