Cath Lab Technologist - South Dakota, Sioux Falls

Job Details

• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4-10 hour shifts, varying start times (05:30-16:00, 06:30-17:00, 07:30-18:00)
• On Call:

  • 1 call per week
  • 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks
  • 30-minute response time
  • May be required to take holiday calls (Thanksgiving, Christmas)
• Floating: No floating to other units
• Unit Info:

  • 8 fluoroscopy rooms
  • 1 minimally invasive room without fluoroscopy

Job Description

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular cases
• Perform right and left heart catheterizations
• Possibly scrub devices and assist in electrophysiology (EP) cases
• Use equipment and systems including XIM (Philips charting), EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens and Philips fluoroscopy systems

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA required)
  • ACLS (AHA required)
• Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist preferred
• Licensure:

  • RCIS or RCES preferred (not required)

Orientation & Training

• Focused on monitoring in XIM system
• Training to scrub and circulate effectively

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Required to be on mandate list to fill any vacant call not picked up
• Candidates who have worked previously at this facility must have a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
