Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in Onc Pod Emergency Department
12-hour Day/Night or Night shifts (floating required)
Shift assignments rotate every 4 weeks and may include nights or mixed shifts based on department needs
Patient ratio: 1:4

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
Must have 1 year of prior travel nursing experience (travel experience required)
Oncology experience preferred but not required
EPIC electronic health record experience required

Required Certifications

BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Required Skills

Proficient in IV starts
Experience with telemetry monitoring

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
One year or more of total travel nursing experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS certification
Proficient in IV starts
Experience with telemetry monitoring
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
