Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Travel)
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
Seeking a Radiation Therapist to join a regional health center providing a wide range of health services including emergency medicine, critical care, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, pediatrics, and specialty services such as cardiac catheterization and diagnostic/therapeutic radiology.
Work Details
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekly Hours: 40 (guaranteed)
- Call Requirements: No call; may occasionally go over hours depending on patient volume
- Float Requirements: None
- Number of Openings: 1
- Patient Ratios: 15-24 patients on machines on average
- Equipment Used: Varian TrueBeam, Identify, GE CT Scanner
- Patient Population: Adult (no children)
- Team: Includes one radiation oncologist and dosimetry on site
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Iowa
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT (Radiation Therapist) Certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Physics coverage 3 days per week
- Experience with CT simulation and chart checks
Additional Information
- No specific dress code or scrub color preference
- No floating to other units required
This position is ideal for a Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience seeking a travel assignment in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with advanced radiation therapy equipment.
