Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Tele

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Work on a busy Medical-Surgical/Telemetry floor.
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1845-0715).
No on-call duties.
May be required to float to other Med Surg/Tele units or low acuity ICU.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing within the last year.
Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
Physical exam within one year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes.
N95 Fit Mask test within one year (no PAPR allowed).
Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start.
Required immunizations or titers:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer or series)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
- COVID vaccination or approved exemption.
Proof of 2 clinical references.
Complete employment application/resume.
Skills checklist as applicable to specialty.

Additional Notes

Must pass Epic test-out prior to or shortly after start date; only one attempt allowed.
Floating to other units may be required.
No on-call responsibilities.
