Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Experience Required: Minimum 18 months recent ICU experience
• License: Active Ohio RN license or active compact state RN license required
• Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Orientation Requirements:

  • ECG rhythm recognition test
  • SafeMedicate medication administration exam (90% passing score required)
  • Both tests must be passed during orientation

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment
• Background check required prior to start and must be updated annually
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask test (3M N95) within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start
• Two professional references from employment within the last year required

Additional Information

• Candidates must complete all required onboarding modules prior to start
• Candidates with gaps in employment greater than 6 months may need to repeat onboarding modules
• Candidates must have completed at least 3 years of prior work history including 2 years in acute care
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required during orientation
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements
