Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work on a busy cardiac/pulmonary telemetry unit (PCU).
May float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units or low acuity ICU.
PCU experience is required.
Epic experience within the last 12 months is required and must be detailed on the profile.
Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions accepted.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current experience with Epic within the last 12 months.
Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
Physical exam within one year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year; annual TB questionnaire required.
N95 Fit Mask test within one year; no PAPR allowed.
Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
Complete employment application/resume.
Skills checklist as applicable to specialty.
COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start.
Flu vaccine required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31); no declinations or exemptions accepted.

Additional Notes

Candidates must pass an Epic test-out; only one attempt allowed.
Float assignments may include other telemetry or low acuity ICU units.
Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
