Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Temp)
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform all aspects of nuclear medicine patient exams at a technical level to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Operate and maintain nuclear scanning imaging equipment, prepare and administer radioactive isotopes, and ensure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards. Provide patient care by obtaining history, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns to ensure comfort and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging studies.
- Obtain patient history and explain procedures to patients.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes as prescribed.
- Complete quality assurance and radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats.
- Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
- Assist other radiology areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
- Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

- Michigan license verification required for nurses (not applicable here).
- Dress code: Galaxy Blue Scrubs.
- EMR system used: Cerner.
