Job Opportunity: Mobile MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Position Details

• Role: Mobile MRI Tech (Friday) and Main MRI Tech (Saturday-Sunday)
• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Holidays: Required to work if they fall on scheduled shifts
• On-call: No

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech (highest requirement found)
• Siemens MRI experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required (state license NOT required for MRI Tech)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
• Radius rule: 60 miles
• Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of work eligibility (I-9 form)
• Copy of Driver’s License or State ID
• Copy of Social Security Card or SSN verification
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year work/living history
  • SSN Trace, Statewide, National Criminal, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification (diploma or transcripts preferred)
• Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccination/booster documentation
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption (strict deadline applies)
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start
• Color blindness test required prior to start
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
• Competency exam required

Additional Requirements

• Radiation badge required for all Radiology/Cardiology travelers except MRI Techs (MRI Techs do NOT require radiation badge)
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge (frontal view, solid light background, business casual attire)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Complete employment application/resume with no unaccounted gaps
• Verification of last 3 clinical employers (or all if fewer than 3)
• Facility-specific orientation modules and first day instructions must be completed prior to start
• COVID vaccination records highly preferred; if declined, must complete facility declination form

Notes

• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All required certifications must be valid beyond 30 days from start date
• Facility uses Epic for charting and requires adherence to their specific policies and procedures
