Job Opportunity: Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Nights)

Location: Mount Clemens, Michigan

Position Summary

Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures. Set up, monitor, and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor CT equipment per patient. Transfer and position patients using proper safety and lifting techniques. Apply immobilization devices as needed.
• Provide patient identification and obtain vital information including allergies and medical history.
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as required by radiology protocols.
• Create and develop images for permanent patient files; record studies for future reference.
• Organize daily patient schedule in cooperation with work-room technician.
• Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment. Ensure proper repair of equipment.
• Manage electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copying.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately; assist with emergency medical situations including basic CPR.
• Follow safety standards and regulations to protect self and patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of work environment and ensure adequate supply inventory.
• Instruct new personnel as needed.
• Assist radiologists and other physicians with specialized radiological procedures.
• Review and record patient history and clinical data to aid diagnosis.
• Maintain registry compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience.
• Experience with Phillips CT equipment is required.
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid Michigan license verification required for nurses (if applicable).
• Completion of a skills checklist within one year is required for RN specialties; preferred for other professions.

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner.
• Full-time employees of the employer are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
