Registered Nurse (RN) - Combined Procedural Unit

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 7 weeks


Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Key duties include:

  • Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs
  • Identifying patient needs and prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Developing and coordinating individualized care plans through initial and ongoing assessments
  • Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care
  • Documenting care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
  • Advocating for evidence-based practice and supporting innovations in care delivery
  • Providing patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
  • ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
  • Telemetry experience
  • Pre-Op experience
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing required

Certifications & Licensure

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
